Lunch Money
Lunch from the cafeteria is $1.00. Students can also purchase extras, such as chips, Snapple, bottled water, and ice cream. Money can be placed in an account with the cafeteria for student’s to draw from to purchase lunch and/or extras. If sending in lunch money, please write on the envelope “Lunch Account Money,” the
amount enclosed, your child’s name, and Warriner.
Take Home Folder
Please check your child's book bag and take-home folder every day for important information. The take-home folder will come home every day. Please look over the papers enclosed for valuable information, remove everything on the Right Back to School side, sign the communication log, and send the folder back to school every day.
Wednesday Folder
A big white envelope will go home every Wednesday. Please look over the papers
enclosed for valuable information from the school. Remove everything, sign, and send back to school each week.
Homework
Students will have reading homework Monday-Friday. Your child should practice reading and be read to every day. Your child will receive letter cards, word cards, and leveled readers. It is expected that they practice with the cards and read their readers each night. If a reader does not come home, it is a Free Choice night - you or your child may read a book of their choice!
Book Orders
The single best thing you can do for your child is READ to them! To encourage this, I will send book orders home every month. You can order though the catalog or go online to www.scholastic.com/bookclubs and use our class code (GJLWV).

Consequences
Our color system:
1. Each student will begin their day with their clothespin on a GREEN circle.
2. On the first offense, the student will switch the clothespin to a YELLOW circle and
walk 1 lap at recess.
3. On the second offense, the student will switch the clothespin to BLUE and walk
2 laps at recess.
4. On the fourth offense, the student will switch the clothespin to ORANGE and miss
recess.
5. On the fifth offense, the student will switch the clothespin to a RED circle, go to the
office, and take a note home which needs to be signed and returned the next
school day.
6. For severe behaviors such as saying extremely mean things to others, fighting,
hitting, or throwing things, the student will receive a “Red Light” slip and report to
the office during recess time. The incident will be discussed with the student and
a plan will be made together. Parents will receive a letter which needs to be
signed and returned the next school day.
Logical consequences will also be utilized as necessary! :)
