Miss W: Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream that everyone would get along. What's your dream?
Student 1: To be there for my friends.
Student 2: To be nice to my brother.
Student 3: To get a bow and arrow!
Student 4: To ride a unicorn!
Student 2: I have a new dream... ride a unicorn!
.. reason 483574735 why I love my job - they keep me constantly entertained =)
Student: If Scooby Doo were in this class he would say "Riss Rarriner, Res Re Ran!"
(Translation: Miss Warriner Yes We Can!)
Student: I have something to tell you. My marker... it's in another land.
Miss W: Do you mean you can't find it?!
Student: No, I mean it's in a land of lava.
Miss W: Does that mean its under your table?
Student: NO! It's in a land of lava right now.
Miss W: Do you mean it's lost?
Another Student: YES, he means it's lost. Can I just get him a new one?
(I showed the K kids the globe for the first time when we were talking about Christopher Columbus. We talked about how the blue is water and the green is land, then I hear....)
Student: I know what the red is on the globe is... Lava!
(The K kids were supposed to be drawing 9 of anything they wanted since our Number of the Day was 9...)
Miss W: What did you draw, kiddo?
Student: I drew 9 vines!
Miss W: 9 vines? I thought vines were green!
Student: No no no, 9 WINES. You know, the things that mommys like to drink?
Student: You're wearing red. That's why you knew the answer.
Student: Everytime someone does something wrong at home, I'm going to tell them "ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
[Where did this come from? I say "Yes!" on the carpet if everyone is doing their job and "Ugh!" if someone isn't. =)]
